Frequently asked questions
What is this?
Neighborhood Needs Network is a community-led mutual aid project in Central Oregon. We are a group of people concerned about our neighbors who may be struggling with food insecurity. We are not affiliated with any government, religious or nonprofit organization.
Just neighbors helping neighbors. 🧡
Do I need to prove I need help?
No. If you need help, that's enough. If you need groceries, if your baby needs diapers or your child need socks, etc we will help!
Will I have to share my information publicly?
No. We only share your first name and general area with a volunteer. You coordinate pickup/delivery details directly with them.
I want to help but I don't have much money. Can I still volunteer?
Yes! Even delivering groceries for someone else, coordinating a meetup or helping to communicate with volunteers is super helpful. Help in whatever way works for you. If you want to help, we want you around!
How do I know this is legitimate?
We're a grassroots mutual aid effort—neighbors helping neighbors. No organization, no bureaucracy. Just community members showing up for each other. You can follow our social media to see real-time updates.
What if I need ongoing support?
We're here for immediate needs during this crisis. There are several incredible organizations in town set up for longer term support, and we are happy to connect you to them.
Can I help even if I don't live in Central Oregon?
If you want to help financially (buying gift cards for volunteers to deliver or a monetary gift to help purchase groceries), yes! Text (541) 233-5131 and let us know.
