When systems fail, community shows up
with SNAP benefits suspended, thousands of families in Central Oregon are facing food insecurity right before the holidays. Neighborhood Needs Network is a grassroots mutual aid group focused on connecting Central Oregon neighbors in need to neighbors who want to help.
Need food support? Want to help? We've got you.
How does it work?
Great question! Just text our phone number at (541) 233-5131 to opt in and we’ll prompt you from there! You can:
text ‘HELP’ to receive grocery or food assistance
text ‘GIVE’ to volunteer or donate
text ‘INFO’ to find out more
Your text will be seen by an actual human and responded to in a quick and efficient manner. We try to resolve all grocery and assistance needs within 24 hours.
HOW IT WORKS:
if you want to help
Text ‘GIVE’ to (541) 233-5131 to join our helper network
Fill out a form to let us know how you can help (no pressure if you can't!)
Get notified when there's a need in your area
Coordinate directly with your neighbor to arrange pickup/dropoff
No commitment required. Help once or help often. Every bit matters.
HOW IT WORKS:
If you need help
Text ‘HELP’ to (541) 233-5131 to let us know your name and specific needs
Fill out a short form with needs/family size/area of town
A volunteer will reach out within 24 hours
Coordinate directly with your neighbor to arrange pickup/drop off
You don't need to explain your situation. You don't need to prove anything. If you need help, that's enough.
